23-year-old George Bronk, who hacked women´s Facebook accounts with the intention to take over their email accounts, was sentenced to four years in prison.
Once he got into an account he would look for nude or semi-nude pictures or videos women sent their husbands or boyfriends, and then forward the images to all those women´s friends.
“This case serves as a stark example of what occurs in so-called cyberspace. It has very real consequences. The intrusion of one´s profile is no different than intruding one´s home,” Sacramento Country Superior Court Judge Lawrence Brown said.
